After School Clubs

Cool Cooks run after school cookery clubs for boys and girls three days a week at a variety of locations in Newcastle. The courses commence in Septembe at the start of the new school year and run for 34 weeks which is split over the 3 terms. If places are available, children can join at any stage.

The numbers attending our clubs are strictly limited so as to maximise teaching and enjoyment. The children (aged 9-11 years) follow a programme devides by "Cool Cooks" to develop skills in food preparation and cooking techniques. Each week the children prepare and cook a different recipe which builds up their confidence within the kitchen and beyond. We cover all aspects of cooking from traditional baking skills to meals and a full list of our food weeks can be obtained upon request.

We provide all of the ingredients so that parents do not have the hassle of extra shopping.

All sessions are "hands-on" as it is our belief that you only learn a new skill by carrying it out yourself.

Upon arrival the children are offered a light snack before starting. They leave with a detailed recipe sheet to add to their Cook Cooks Recipe File.
