About Us
"Cool Cooks" was conceived back in the Spring of 2004 by Gillian who had a desire to see more young children enjoy the fun of learning to cook.
She herself learnt to cook at home with her mother and then at school before going on to become a Home Economist. She worked for many years within the food industry and in the field of Healthy Eating in schools. She has also carried out work for Newcastle Universitys Human Nutrition Research Dept.
She cooks extensively at home and has engaged her own children in the practice for many years and firmly believes that learning to cook at an early age sows the seed of a very important life skill.
For your piece of mind, "Cool Cooks" is fully insured and has certificates in First Aid and Food Hygiene - and not forgetting the fact that all the people who work at "Cool Cooks" have CRB Clearance and a love of cooking and being with children.
